Description
The facepiece is made of moulded rubber.The lenses were crimped in place with either brown or green crimps. Markings under the chin would include: the designation M-51, the facepiece size, last two digits of the manufacturing year and manufacturers markings. These Masks were made by ‘CBB’ (Companie Bergougnan Belge). The mask was fitted with a six point rubber head hardness, which was also be embossed with M51 designation, manufacturers initials and date The facepiece would be sealed in a plastic bag with a note written either just in French or both in French & Dutch confirming when the mask was sealed. The exhale valve is protected by a metal mesh cover which can be screwed off to gain access to inspect and replace the exhale valve.
